The Festival do Atlântico is one of Madeira's most breathtaking shows, featuring pyromusical fireworks over Funchal Bay every Saturday in Junho. Canada, China and Ukraine compete in the international contest, with Portugal/Madeira closing on 27 de Junho. The fireworks are visible from the entire Funchal waterfront and last about 20 minutes. The festival also includes concerts, food stalls and street entertainment.
